As We Prepare for a New Month at The Corina Mae Foundation
As we close out May and step into June, I want to share the goals we’ve set for the month ahead. June is a meaningful month for me personally — it marks 5 years and 6 months since my mother’s passing, falling the day before my birthday. Her strength and love continue to guide every step we take as a foundation.
June is a month of building, connecting, and honoring the heart behind our mission.
🌐 Goal 1: Continue Building Our Website & Online Presence
We’ll keep refining our website to make it more welcoming, accessible, and informative. This includes adding new pages, improving navigation, and preparing space for future resources and updates.
📚 Goal 2: Expand Our Alabama Disability Resource Library
We’ll continue adding counties to our statewide resource project. Each new county brings us closer to creating a complete, easy‑to‑navigate guide for disabled individuals and families across Alabama.
👥 Goal 3: Continue Searching for Board of Director Volunteers
We’re committed to finding compassionate, mission‑aligned individuals who can help guide the future of the foundation. While we haven’t found the right people yet, our search continues with patience and purpose.
🤝 Goal 4: Begin Outreach to Organizations Across Alabama
June will be the month we start introducing ourselves to agencies, nonprofits, and community groups. These early conversations will help us build relationships and open doors for future collaboration.
📬 Goal 5: Strengthen Communication & Support Systems
We’ll continue refining our email response process and preparing for future inquiries. Even as a small foundation, we want every person who reaches out to feel seen, heard, and supported.
💛 Goal 6: Honor the Legacy That Inspired This Foundation
June holds a special place in my heart. As I reflect on my mother’s life and the love she poured into me, I want to carry that same compassion into everything we build this month. Her story is the heartbeat of this foundation, and June is a time to honor that.

We’re entering June with clarity, momentum, and a deep sense of gratitude. Every step we take is a step toward building something rooted in dignity, compassion, and hope.
