🌼 New Additions to Our Alabama Disability Resource Library

Published on May 20, 2026 at 12:12 PM

At The Corina Mae Foundation, we’re building something meaningful for families across Alabama — a clear, welcoming, county‑by‑county guide to disability resources. This project is growing every week, and today we’re excited to share an update on the counties that have been added so far, along with information about the counties that rely entirely on statewide programs.

Our goal is simple: make it easier for every disabled person and every caregiver in Alabama to find the support they deserve.

🌟 Counties Now Included in Our Resource Library

These counties now have full, detailed disability‑resource pages available on our website:

  • Jefferson County

  • Madison County

  • Montgomery County

  • Mobile County

  • Tuscaloosa County

  • Shelby County

Each of these counties has at least one local disability‑specific organization — such as an Arc chapter, UCP center, ADRS office, or other community‑based program — which allows us to build a meaningful, helpful guide for residents.

More counties will be added soon.

🌿 Counties That Rely Only on Statewide Programs

Some Alabama counties do not have disability‑specific organizations located within their borders. Residents in these areas rely entirely on statewide and regional programs for support — including ADRS, UCP regional centers, Arc chapters in nearby counties, and other statewide services.

These counties include:

Limestone, Lawrence, Franklin, Winston, Marion, Fayette, Pickens, Sumter, Choctaw, Clarke, Washington, Perry, Hale, Greene, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Randolph, Cleburne, Clay, Bibb, Autauga, Elmore, Crenshaw, Butler, Lowndes, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Escambia, Covington, Geneva, Coffee, Dale, Barbour, and Henry Counties.

Because these counties do not have local disability programs, they are not listed individually in our Resource Library. Instead, all available support for these areas can be found in our Statewide Disability Resources section.

💛 Our Commitment to Every County in Alabama

Even though some counties do not have local disability organizations, The Corina Mae Foundation serves all 67 counties in Alabama. No matter where you live, you deserve access to clear information, compassionate support, and someone who will help you navigate the system.

We’re honored to walk alongside you.
